What is a global marketing?

In fact, it is really simple. Executing marketing plan in foreign countries is an answer.

However, there is a little trap in it.

Because traps such as difference of culture, language and other micro/macro differences between  nation A and nation B are exisiting, we needs to be aware of those differences and establishes specific marketing plans & strategies in an appropriate time, then execute next.



As you can see the image above, in general marketing design map is divided into three stages: Prepare, Launch and Grow.

Then, let's take a close look at each stages.

Core activitiy in prepare stage is definitely a researching.

Firguring out status of foreign country such as population, religion, culture and competitors in the same industry is a mandatory step to gather much information.

There can't be 100% gurantee for success of implenting global marketing based on great research, especially a research conducted by online tools. But, conducting a great research can raise possibility of success for launching product or service in a forign country.

So, now, here is a little TIP for how to conduct the better researching.

First, gather the information as much as possible from the websites of goverment agencies such as embassy, chamber of commerce and international trade association.

Second, gather any raw datas seeming helpful through googling and interview with government officials.

Third, survey from the corresponding foreigners with delicately made questions.

For the last, based on the gathered information, create the best marketing plan ever.

I saw many people who don't spend on time for researching before setting a delicate marketing plan; sorry to say this but if they don't spend enough time on research eventually they will get back to the research stage. In other words, I can assure importance of conducting a proper research is as much important as designing a creative marketing plan.

In next time, we will talk more about contents of marketing plan made by researched datas.

Dear Mr. Everyone

This is my first time writing consulting column based on my career expriences in Google Blogger!

So I was in worry of what to write as my first topic; with a few minutes of consideration, I could decide that I'm going to write about 'Global Marketing' since I have been planning and practicing global marketing and tradings as a consultant on company name 'CotDe Inc.', Korean Cosmetics Company manufacturing four cosmetic brands mainly: Ciracle, Zymogen, O'Sum and Skin Vegetarian. *I will post more about CotDe Inc. next time. Leaving some curosities for the readers :)

As my first time writing a column about global marketing, I would like to write solid main points about why do companies need global marketing especially in today.

In general, I saw many of people who think global marketing too difficult or just useless thing, and of course I was one of them too.

However, birth of online market changed the basic clusters of a market. In addition, coming up of social network service made market even more complexed and difficult to grab.

Imagine your daily life. You can acknowledge any information that you want to know instinctly by smartphones or I-pad. This is the place where we live. In other words, we are able to contact any people around the world with your little effeorts of touching screen.

As I am a native Korean, I have few more words to say about importance of global marketing.
Korea has a very small territory in compare to the US, but population density is extremely higher than the any other countries in the world. Moreover, few conglomerates are encroaching biz areas of small and medium companies. Solution? Yes, exporting our goods is our only solution. Unfortunately, a lof of small and medium companies do not know how to export their products without professional consultants...

I will cut my words and will post about 'What is Global Marketing' in next stage, not wanting people to lose their concentration!
